The orchard alliance Lower Saxony e. V. has been a state-wide umbrella organization for the protection of meadow orchards and the networking of a wide variety of actors since 2017. The website of the meadow orchard alliance reports on the work of the association and provides interesting information about meadow orchards: www.streuobstwiesen-buendnis-niederschsen.de. For many years, meadow orchards and other offers related to the topic - for example events, marketing, environmental education, fruit tree nurses, tree nurseries and orchard educators - have been collected and mapped on the website so that those interested can find out about the offers in their region and throughout Lower Saxony can inform. With this app you can now also access the data of the acquisition portal when you are on the go. You can look for orchards in your area, find a farm shop with orchard products or see whether your orchard area is already in the registration portal of the orchard association Lower Saxony e. V. is included. By linking to the local registration portal, meadow orchards, events, marketing, environmental education, fruit tree nurses, tree nurseries and orchard educators can be entered in the app. To record a new meadow, you only need to register on our portal. A permanent Internet connection is not necessary at first: The recording can also be made offline in the field and later uploaded to the portal with an existing Internet connection. You can also check and change your own data in offline mode. To do this, you must first download your own data set online so that you can access it again later.Another feature of the app is the ability to be navigated to a desired meadow orchard or farm shop, tree nursery, etc.The orchard alliance Lower Saxony e.V. was created as part of the project "Cooperation for the preservation of orchards in Lower Saxony", which the BUND Landesverband Niedersachsen is carrying out in cooperation with the Ökolandbau Niedersachsen GmbH (KÖN) competence center and the Sellhorn Forestry Office/Lüneburger Heide Forest Education Center (WPZ). The project is funded by the ELER (European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development) in cooperation with the Lower Saxony Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection (administrative authority ELER) and the State of Lower Saxony within the framework of the directive on the granting of grants to promote cooperation in landscape conservation and area management in Lower Saxony and Bremen (guideline for landscape conservation and area management - RL LaGe, RdErl. D. MU of 16.12.2015).
